Description
Platypuses have the ability to find prey using underwater detection known to as electroreception. Electroreception allows them to use electrical impulses to locate objects in the deepest and darkest of waters meaning they can hunt with eyes, ears and nose all closed. They don’t have teeth but rather use gravel to break up tougher food pieces. Scientists famously first thought these curious animals were a hoax.
