Description
Emus are soft-feathered, brown, flightless birds with long necks and legs, and can reach up to 1.9m in height, making them the largest native bird in Australia. They can travel large distances, and sprint at speeds of up to 50kph when necessary. Emus forage for a variety of plants and insects, they drink infrequently, but take in copious amounts of water when the opportunity arises.
